TL;DR Summary

4.5/5 Excellent

Pros

  • Noticeably dense 1/5-inch steel — no flex under load
  • Matte black coating is even and room-ready without paint touch-ups
  • True 90-degree geometry; shelves sit level on first install
  • Six-pack value makes a full wall run affordable
  • 160-lb. rated capacity holds up in real use, not just on paper

Cons

  • Included screws are serviceable but worth upgrading for plaster or masonry walls
  • Six-inch projection limits depth — not suited for deep utility shelving
  • No wall-anchor hardware included; you source your own for hollow drywall

Extended Observations

Solid, dense in the hand, and matte-black without apology. These brackets earned their place on the wall before the first screw was seated.

These brackets arrive with heft. Pick one up and you feel the 1/5-inch steel immediately — not a flex in it. The matte black coating is even, no thin spots at the corners, no chemical smell that lingers. That first tactile read matters. It tells you something about the tolerance the maker held.

Installation is straightforward. Six brackets, six sets of hardware, pre-drilled holes that align cleanly. The geometry is right — the horizontal and vertical arms meet at a true 90 degrees. Shelves sit level without shimming. That is not a given at this price.

The 160-pound load rating across the set is credible. Each bracket carries its share without complaint. I loaded a run of ceramic pieces — dense stoneware, not light bisqueware — and the shelf did not shift. No creep after two weeks. The coating held where the hardware made contact.

The black finish reads well in a room. Not glossy, not chalky. It disappears against a dark wall and holds its own against a white one. For a utilitarian bracket, that kind of visual restraint is worth noting.

Two small notes. The included screws are adequate but not impressive — if your walls are plaster over lath, source your own fasteners. And six inches of projection suits a shallow display shelf; for anything deeper than ten inches, you will want a longer arm. Those are planning considerations, not failures. The brackets themselves do what they promise.

Our Verdict

Solid, dense in the hand, and matte-black without apology. These brackets earned their place on the wall before the first screw was seated.
